In our continued endeavor to bring all people together, we will again have our annual event, “Community Day,” held this year on the Sunday before Memorial Day - May 24th beginning at 4:00 pm. “Community Day” is an effort to bring people from all communities together to enjoy a safe, clean family-oriented celebration of Christ, Country, and Community.
Throughout Christian Life Church’s long history of service to our community, our congregation has put on the Easter Drama - “King of Kings”, provided food to needy families through our Angel ministries, offered shelter to Katrina evacuees, providing monthly meals for the homeless, assisting with Habitat for Humanity, and for the past several years, hosting a Memorial Day picnic. This event, although primarily promoted within our local congregation, has seen upwards of 600 people (dads, moms and children) in attendance. It is our desire to reach even more people in our community and we feel we are accomplishing that by offering “Community Day”.
In so doing, CLC’s “Community Day” will provide kid jumpers, teen/adult obstacle course, kid train, children’s program activities, music, food, and so much more… all for free! Due to the church’s prime interstate location, this event will be held right here on the CLC campus.
