Dear CLC Family,
I am sending this message to let you know that this morning I tested positive for COVID. I am doing fine! I am not sick except for my head being stopped up and some coughing. Bro. Rory also tested for COVID this week, but he is doing much better. Bro. Jason Hodge will be ministering in the service tomorrow. We will postpone more baptisms until the next Sunday! We have several more people to be baptized! Just keep us in your prayers!

Dear CLC Family,
After getting advice from those in the medical field and because we have seen a good number of the families of CLC affected by the Covid virus this week I have decided to dismiss service Sunday, Jan. 16th and Wednesday, Jan. 19th.
I hope you understand this decision! I am only trying to look out for the members of CLC, especially our seniors. This is not a decision I take lightly! I love to have church and I know you do too, but we must be wise during these difficult times. Thank you for understanding! I hope to see you all at CLC on Jan. 23rd. Stay safe and be blessed!
Sincerely
Danny Chance, Pastor

Dear CLC Family,
Due to the rapid spread of the Covid virus and several in our church testing positive this week, we are going to cancel Wednesday night service and Thursday night Men's Night of Worship. As far as I know there will still be service Sunday morning at 10am. If anything changes, we will notify you. Please let me know if you get sick and test positive for Covid. We are doing our very best to keep all our members safe!
Sincerely,
Danny Chance, Pastor

Dear CLC Family,
We are planning on resuming our
midweek services starting next week on
September 1st. We have been blessed to escape an outbreak in our church, and as long as there is no further spread of the virus we will resume our normal service schedule.
In addition we will be introducing a
simple wristband system as a way for everyone to worship and interact with one another comfortably. We will be providing
RED
&
GREEN wristbands as a way to communicate your preference regarding social distancing while at CLC events.
If a person is wearing a RED wristband
- Do not closely approach or shake hands ; maintain 6 ft of distance
We have many members who are more vulnerable to infection and many who have health conditions that necessitate a more careful approach. The Red wristband will be a quick easy way to communicate that you prefer not to be approached.
If a person is wearing a Green Wristband
- Feel free to approach, and interact as you would normally.
Our desire is to create a place where everyone can return to church and worship comfortably, without worry or fear of exposure to Covid-19.
Be on the Lookout to grab a wristband during our upcoming services!
Thank you all for being the best church there is, we look forward to worshipping with you on Sunday!

Dear CLC Family,
Due to the current Covid crisis in our area, we will be temporarily suspending our
midweek services until further notice. We feel this will help us by allowing us 7 days between our services to assess our congregation's exposure.
For the second consecutive Sunday we had a member who tested positive for Covid after attending Sunday Worship with no symptoms. For that reason we feel it would be wise to limit our exposure, and give ourselves time between Sundays. Right now we are in a precarious moment in our parish, and want to be sure we are taking the best steps to both protect our church members and to fulfill our mission as the church!
We will continue to gather together on Sundays.
We ask that you spend time in prayer and the word with your family throughout the week. Also, please remember to keep those members who are recovering from Covid in your prayers.
Blessings,
Danny Chance, Pastor

Dear CLC Family,
I am writing today because since our service at CLC this morning we have had a couple of our students test positive with COVID. I am going to use all caution! Our students had an outside event Saturday and at least one of the ones that tested positive were at the event. Those students were at CLC this morning unaware of any sickness. There were students and adults at the Student event, and we really do not know who all was exposed then or at church this morning.
Since there is such an outbreak of COVID in our parish and state, I feel like we need to cancel our Wednesday service this week until we can determine if anyone else should have any symptoms. If there is anyone else that tests positive or becomes sick, I would appreciate it if you would contact me and let me know.
We will determine by Saturday if there will be service on Sunday. I feel we must take all precautionary measures during this time. As you know, we have been very blessed to not have a major outbreak of the virus at CLC and I am doing my best to keep it that way! I do trust that you understand my decision!
Please join me in praying for those that are sick! May the blessings of God be upon you all!
Please contact me if you need me.
Sincerely,
Danny Chance, Pastor

Dear CLC Family,
We would like to provide some information and guidance for how we will move forward during the recent Covid-19 surge. As many of you already know, our state is facing the highest Covid-19 infection rate in the nation.
It is our goal to both continue to gather for Worship and protect our church family from an outbreak. With this in mind,
we will continue to meet for services,
but want to suggest several measures that will safeguard us, and help us continue moving forward during this season:
1. We encourage you to practice social distancing while on campus.
2. We have provided Hand sanitizer at each entrance for your use.
3. Regarding Masks; We encourage you to wear them if you feel the need to do so. We will not require anyone to do so in order to participate in our services.
4. Be mindful of the preferences of those around you! We have many members who are statistically at greater risk. We want to make sure they are able to Worship comfortably and safely.
5. If you are ill or running fever; please stay home!
Ultimately it is our greatest desire to be able to move forward safely, and serve God effectively through this season.
We appreciate your support and understanding!

Dear CLC Family,
This letter is to inform you that we WILL have service this evening at CLC. We are proceeding with much caution.
As you probably already know, COVID 19 cases are on the rise again and last week we had several in our church that were infected with the virus. We did not have service because we were trying to avoid others being infected. We feel that we can now go ahead and have service at CLC, and we will proceed again with great caution.
We ask that you practice the following guidelines while at church. Please practice Social Distancing! Do not hug anyone! Do not shake hands with anyone! Please use hand sanitizer provided at every entrance! If you are sick or have ANY symptoms of COVID please stay home until you are well! These are simple things that will help us not spread the virus and we can avoid an outbreak at CLC.
I do hope you understand our decisions and know that we are doing things in the best interest
of our church. I do pray that you and your family are well and will remain so! May God bless
you as we navigate these unchartered times.
Sincerely,
Danny Chance, Pastor

Dear CLC Family,
I trust you are all doing well! We are again in a very trying time with the COVID 19 virus. As I write this letter, I know of 7 of our members that have COVID. All of them did not contact the virus at CLC, but from different places as far as we know. Nevertheless, there are 7 cases of COVID connected to CLC.
With that said, we have decided to cancel our service for this weekend. There will NOT be service Sunday at CLC. We are doing this as a precautionary effort to prevent an outbreak of the virus in our church. I do hope you all understand!
Please be cautious and keep you and your family safe! We are praying that this will soon pass and we can be back to church again. We will keep you informed on every decision in the coming days. May God bless and keep you all!
Sincerely,
Danny Chance, Pastor

Dear CLC Family,
This letter is to inform you that we will NOT have service at CLC tonight! This is strictly a precautionary move because one of the staff of VBS tested positive for COVID this morning. I feel it would be wise to not have church tonight until we see if there is anybody else that becomes sick and tests positive for COVID.
If you were involved in VBS this week and you become sick or have any symptoms, please let us know. I am doing everything possible to keep from having an outbreak in our church! Again, please know that this is just a precautionary move! Please do not panic! We will work through this, and God will give us direction. I pray all of you do well!
As of now we will plan to have service on Sunday unless something changes. Not having church this evening will give us a few days to know if there is anyone else infected with COVID. Thanks for understanding!
Sincerely,
Danny Chance, Sr. Pastor

Dear Christian Life Church,
As all of you are aware, the last 11 months have been a very trying time for all of us in dealing with the COVID-19 virus! We have tried to make our way through these difficult times depending on the leading of the Lord. Thanks be to God we have not had a major outbreak in the church, although we have had several people that have suffered from the virus and we lost our dear Bro. Jimmy Hart. We pray for his sweet family!
We have not had any Wednesday service for the last 2 months to try and avoid an outbreak of COVID-19 through all the holidays, but now it is time for us to begin service on Wednesdays again.
The purpose of this short letter is to ask you to attend Wednesday services! We all need to get back to the house of God and we need everyone to be faithful! All of our children need to be in Kidlife, our students need to be in their Student Ministry, and every adult needs to be in the Sanctuary!
IT IS TIME TO GET BACK TO CHURCH!
If you are a senior or you are still quarantined to avoid the virus I understand. If you are going to work and going about your everyday business, you should come to church! Please understand my concern! Statistics are saying that many people will never return to regular church attendance after the Pandemic! That is what Satan wants! Don’t let this be you! If you are sick, do not come to church!
I do hope you receive this letter as it is written, with lots of love! Every service is important to the saving of our families! I hope to see you Wednesday evening! May God bless and keep you all!
Sincerely,
Danny Chance, Pastor

December 7 | Important Message from Pastor
Dear Christian Life Church,
I am writing today to inform you that we have made a decision to cancel our Wednesday evening services for the month of December due to the recent COVID-19 outbreak in our area. To this date we have not had a major outbreak at CLC and we are doing everything possible to keep that from happening. We have had several cases of COVID-19 among our members and at this time all have recovered. For this we give God praise!
According to the news reports and statistics for our area there is a surge in COVID cases and deaths. We have worked very hard and prayed much over the last few months to try to lead this church with wisdom through this pandemic, and we don’t need to let our guard down now! With Thanksgiving just past, and Christmas near, we know there will be much activity and gatherings that will no doubt spread the virus even more. Please be cautious and take care of you and your family as we work our way through this very trying time.
We pray that you will understand our reasoning and concern, and that you will continue to support CLC! We will continue to have service on Sunday, but we do ask that you practice social distancing at service as much as is possible and please be very careful. Please do not attend if you are sick or if you knowingly have been exposed to the virus! Our thoughts are that by having service just on Sunday it gives us 6 days between services to know if there is any outbreak.
Thank you for understanding! We pray that God will keep His hand upon you all and that we will soon be past this critical time. May God bless and keep you!
Sincerely,
Pastor Danny Chance

Dear Christian Life Church,
Greetings in Jesus name!
I am writing today to inform you of some new developments with the COVID-19 Virus that affects our church. Bro. Toby Stanley, our Music Minister, has received word today that he has tested positive for COVID-19. He has no symptoms and is not sick at all. However, all the office staff, as well as other members of CLC, have been around Toby this week and have been exposed to the Virus. Toby was unaware of any exposure until Thursday when he was informed that a lady from his secular job had COVID-19 and they sent him to be tested on Thursday. The rapid test showed him to be negative, but the swab test came back positive. So, we have to assume that he is positive.
Due to this situation, we are going to take all precautions and we are cancelling service for tomorrow. We do not want to spread the virus to any of our members! My self, along with all of our office staff will be tested this week before we have another service at CLC. There will be online service in the morning at 10am. I will be talking to all of you then about this situation. As you well know, we have tried to be very careful and tried to avoid any outbreak at CLC and we will continue to do so! If there are any further development, I will let you know.
Please help us pray for God’s protection! Remember to pray for Bro. Alvin Leach who is in the hospital with COVID. He is 92 years old and has been in the nursing home for several months. Earlene Stanley Smith is now out of the hospital but is in St. Joseph nursing home for rehabilitation. Keep praying for these dear people. I do pray that you will understand my decisions for cancelling service. It is strictly precautionary! Please stay safe and join us online for service on Sunday and Wednesday.
Sincerely,
Danny Chance, Pastor
July 13 | COVID Update
Dear Christian Life Church;
As you may already know today marks the beginning of a new mandate by Gov. Edwards that businesses and public facing organizations should require the use of masks as an additional precaution against the spread of Covid-19.
We want to clarify how this will impact our worship services and social distancing guidelines for the duration of this current order. While the Governor expressly said that he will not be enforcing this mandate by fining Churches/Pastors, we feel that the wise and biblical response is to comply with the request as much as is in our ability. Romans chapter 13 teaches us that we should be subject to governing authorities, as they are ultimately working for our good.
How this mandate will affect CLC:
We ask that those over the age of 8 wear protective masks to worship services in compliance with the mandate.
While we understand that masks are a hot button issue and that many opinions exist about them, we also feel it is our responsibility to provide a place where everyone feels safe to worship.
By operating in accordance with the mandate we are honoring authority, as well as honoring and preferring our brothers and sisters in Christ.
Our goal is to move through these difficult times with a spirit of unity and deference to those around us. As the church it is important that we not let our good be evil spoken of within our own ranks, as well as in our community.
We ask this as a request, not a demand. We understand that there are mitigating health issues and legitimate reasons that some cannot wear masks. As a result we will not be enforcing use of masks, and ask that we treat every person with respect in regards to this issue.
We will continue to have services.
Many questions have been asked about how the Governor’s limitation of social gatherings to 50 people or less will affect the church. According to the mandate this limitation does not apply to essential businesses which includes Churches and religious gatherings. We will continue having church services on Sundays, and once we feel it is appropriate will resume Wednesday services at that time.
We do ask for your continued prayer for our leadership during this pandemic. These are challenging issues and our goals are to keep everyone safe; and to continue to worship together weekly.
Thank You & God Bless!
