MESSAGE FROM PASTOR

CLC Family

A Call to Prayer & Fasting

CLC Family,

I feel a deep burden in my spirit that God is positioning our church for revival.

I believe the Lord is preparing us for a greater outpouring of His Spirit, and I

feel strongly that this is a time for us to come together in prayer and fasting.

For the next seven days, I am asking our entire church family to join me in

focused prayer.

“Consecrate a fast,

Call a sacred assembly…

And cry out to the LORD.”

Joel 1:14

Seven Days of Focused Prayer

Monday — Our Families

Pray for our marriages, children, homes, and family members who need

salvation and restoration.

Tuesday — Our City

Pray for Monroe and our surrounding communities. Pray for the lost and for

God to give us a greater burden to reach our city.

Wednesday — Our Church

Pray for Christian Life Church—for unity, spiritual hunger, our leaders and

ministries, and every person who walks through our doors.

Thursday — Healing for the Sick

We have many who are battling sickness and disease. Pray for healing,

strength, and miracles. Call their names before the Lord and believe God for

healing.

Friday — Freedom from Addiction

Pray for those bound by addiction and destructive habits. Pray for chains to

break, minds to be renewed, and lives and families to be restored.

Saturday — An Outpouring of the Holy Ghost

Pray for a mighty outpouring and demonstration of the Holy Ghost. Pray for

salvation, deliverance, healing, and lives to be transformed by the power of

God.

Sunday — Prepare Ourselves

Before coming to church, spend time in prayer. Ask God to search your heart

and remove anything that could hinder what He desires to do.

Come praying. Come hungry. Come expecting. Come positioned.

I am also asking everyone who is physically able to fast with us this week.

You may fast each day until 5:00 or 6:00 PM, choose an extended fast, or

select one or more days to completely fast.

The length of the fast isn’t the focus. The focus is intentionally denying

ourselves and turning our attention toward God.

Church, I believe there is more.

More for our families.

More for our city.

More for Christian Life Church.

There are prodigals who need to come home. There are people who need

deliverance. There are bodies that need healing. There are souls who need

the Holy Ghost and baptism in Jesus’ name.

So for seven days, let’s pray. Let’s fast. Let’s turn down the noise and seek

God.

I believe He is calling us to position ourselves for what He desires to do.

With love and great expectation,

Chase Hoyt
